NBCC Annual Conference

Each year advocates from Michigan go to Washington D.C. to learn about breast cancer and lobby on Capitol Hill.

This 4 day event includes educational workshops on new breast cancer research and how to be an effective advocate within your state.  On “Lobby Day” we go to Capitol Hill and visit all of the offices of our Congressmen.  We will attempt to meet every Representative from the state of Michigan to encourage them to support the Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program as well as other important legislation.  There are so many areas of concern and this is our opportunity to let them know.  Scholarships available for this event are offered by the NBCC, please go to www.stopbreastcancer.org for more information.
